It seems like 2010 has flown by way too quickly, but as I reflect back on what the IAP2 Wild Rose Chapter and our volunteer board has accomplished, I am really quite impressed!

As part of the Signature Event, IAP2 Wild Rose Chapter is offering pre-conference training January 18 and 19: Emotion, Outrage & Public Participation© (EOP2).  EOP2 is a two day course developed by IAP2.  It is based on international best practices and the outrage management strategies developed by Dr. Peter Sandman, a pre-eminent risk communications specialist.

Last Call for Wednesday, November 17 Lunch and Learn!
What is the Centre for Public Involvement? Find out more about this innovative partnership between City of Edmonton, Office of Public Involvement and University of Alberta, Faculty of Extension.  This session will include a short presentation by  followed by a Q+A about the aim of the Centre to provide leadership in understanding and applying innovative practices and new technologies for citizen participation, engagement, and deliberation.

IAP2 Wild Rose Chapter has launched a new website!  As a member you will be able to log in to search and create job postings, have access to AGM proceedings and Board minutes.  We have also enhanced our events calendar and have new blogging and newsletter capabilities! We're still working on it, so please provide us with your comments or suggestions.
